I remember when I first found out that I would be having a new nephew. My brother, Matthew, and his wife, Alicia, sent me a package for Easter and they wanted me to FaceTime them when I was opening it. Underneath all the candy was a sonogram for soon-to-be Hudson Maverick Young. Fast-forward about a year and a half and we got to celebrate his first birthday where I had the opportunity to capture it all! It was quite the feat doing photo and videos (which I would never do, normally), but I had to make it happen for this little guy!
With Matthew being a big baseball fan and hopes that Hudson will follow in his footsteps, the theme was "Rookie of the Year." Alicia and all those who helped really outdid themselves. From the decorations to the kids play area and of course the food, everything really hit this one out of the park.

I loved the board that displayed photos from each month since he was born. It's crazy to see just how much his appearance change and his personality grew. There was also a home plate for all the guests to sign!
There were plenty of activities for the kids like coloring pages, mini ball pit and bounce house, and other fun games. You can't forget about the photo wall for friends and family to capture all the memories at!
You can never go wrong with some Sonny's Barbecue!
Then came the gifts! I don't know who was more excited, Hudson or Mom and Dad!
But I think my gift was his favorite!
Lastly, dessert and the cake smash!
All in all, it was such an awesome party for such an awesome little dude. I can't wait to see what this next year brings for you and all the new things you'll learn to do, Hudson!
